The Story of Sprayground
In 2010, Sprayground was founded by business partners David BenDavid and Eddie Shabot. At a time when backpacks were dull and boring, Sprayground revolutionized the industry with its "Hello My Name Is" backpack.
In 2011, the next successful backpack, "Money Stacks," was launched. The tremendous success of this product confirmed the brand's potential. Athletes, celebrities, and the fashion world embraced Sprayground.
From 2012 to 2018, Sprayground expanded across the United States and internationally, reaching countries such as Japan, the United Kingdom, Italy, Dubai, and China. The product line expanded to include luggage, outerwear, cold weather accessories, Apple accessories, keychains, and duffles. Sprayground launched the patented Wing backpack and experimented with fabrications and 3D molded techniques. The demand grew for sleeker and more fashionable backpacks, leading to the incorporation of cut and sew techniques into the line. The fabrications merged suede, mesh, leather, handmade weaves, 3M fabrics, and ballistic materials. International distribution expanded to 30 countries, with the brand being visible in Asia, Europe, and South America. In the United States, Eddie Shabot left to pursue other opportunities, while David took over as the CEO and Creative Director of the brand.
